Zelle is a convenient way to send money using your mobile banking app* or online banking account.
Whether it's saving you a trip to the ATM or getting those funds back from a friend you spotted at lunch, Zelle is a fast, safe and easy way to send and request money. Funds are sent directly to the recipient's account in a matter of minutes1, and all you need is the recipient's email address or U.S. mobile phone number.
Zelle is limited for consumer accounts only and Essex Bank recommends using this service to send money to friends, family or others you trust.

Find Zelle® in your Essex Bank app
Log in, select "Send money with Zelle®" and then enroll with your U.S. mobile number and/or email address. We recommend enrolling both to ensure your friends find you quickly!
Find Zelle® in Essex Bank’s Online Banking
Log in to Online Banking, click on the "Send Money with Zelle®" icon. Get started by enrolling with your U.S. mobile number and/or email address.
Send
Select a contact or type in the U.S. mobile number or email address of the person you'd like to send money. Remember to only send money to people you know and trust. Enter the amount you'd like to send and, if you want, add a note. Tap "send" and you're done.
Request
Need to get repaid? Send your friend a request to pay you back directly with Zelle. Just enter their U.S. mobile number or email address, the amount they owe you, and hit send. When they respond, the money will appear in your Essex Bank account.3
