Now open, enjoy extended hours of personal contact with the bank, including before and after branch hours. The Customer Service Center will be staffed from 7 am to 11 pm, Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 12 noon on Saturday. Unlike other banks, our Customer Service Center is a locally-staffed help source (instead of a phone tree, automated or offshore system).
Call the Customer Service Center to talk with our Essex Bank-staff for:
• Questions about your accounts
• eBank Online or Mobile Banking assistance
• Debit Card changes and troubleshooting
• Product questions and assistance, and much more!
• Call as early as 7 am up to 11 pm on weekdays!*
*Saturdays from 9am-noon. Closed on Federal Reserve Holidays. Please leave a message when the Center is closed, and it will be returned quickly after reopening.
Are all calls going to the Customer Service Center?
Beginning July 11 the Center will take over the main Essex Bank customer service line (800-443-5524) and the main E-commerce line (888-277-3969). Changes may be made in the future.
What types of things can the Center specialists do?
They are fully trained as Financial Services Associates and can perform most transactions not involving cash.
Are the Quick Check and the lost-and-stolen Visa check card phone numbers going away?
No, those lines will remain in place.
Can I still call the branch directly?
Yes. However, a major advantage of the Customer Service Center is that it extends your ability to contact the bank before and after branch hours.
Can I still reach a branch associate directly?
Yes, if you currently have a direct number to an associate, that function will not change.
Can my call be transferred to the branches?
The Customer Service Center staff is fully trained. However, at your request, calls may be transferred to branch personnel.
Will the Customer Service Center open or close accounts?
The Customer Service Center will be able to start the open-account process over the phone, however you must go to a branch to complete the process. All account closings, however, must be done in the branches.
